Privacy Policy

The core promise is architectural: your CSV log is read and analyzed in the current browser tab, not uploaded to our servers.

Last updated July 30, 2026

1. CSV log processing

CSV Datalog Viewer uses the browser File API, a Web Worker, and Canvas to read, parse, graph, compare, and export the files you choose. Raw file bytes, filenames, header names, recorded values, thresholds, and rendered charts stay in the current browser tab. The site has no upload endpoint for those files.

Closing or reloading the tab clears loaded logs from working memory. Downloaded PNG or CSV exports remain wherever your browser saves them.

2. Preferences stored on your device

The site may use localStorage to remember non-file user interface choices such as the color theme, x-axis mode, smoothing level, and last preset. We do not intentionally store filenames, channel headers, thresholds, or logged values in localStorage.

3. Google Analytics 4

Google Analytics 4 (GA4) loads when a page opens. We do not show a consent popup. GA4 may process page URLs, referral source, approximate location derived from IP address, device and browser information, session identifiers, and ordinary page-view data. Google may set or read analytics cookies or similar identifiers according to its own services and policies.

We also send a small, allowlisted set of coarse product events, such as whether a sample or file was loaded, whether comparison, zoom, presets, thresholds, theme changes, or exports were used, and broad row/channel count buckets. We configure analytics without Google Signals or advertising personalization.

Analytics events do not include file content, filename, raw channel names, recorded values, chart pixels, thresholds, or free-form text. Learn more in Google's Privacy Policy. Browser privacy tools or content blockers may prevent analytics from loading.

4. Cloudflare hosting and security

The site is delivered through Cloudflare Pages. Cloudflare may process request metadata needed to deliver and secure the site, such as IP address, requested URL, timestamp, user agent, cache information, and security signals. This delivery metadata is separate from the CSV log processing described above.

5. Email and feedback

The feedback page opens your own email application with a draft addressed to support@csvdatalogviewer.com. Nothing typed in that form is sent by this website. If you send the email, your message and email metadata are processed by your mail provider, our forwarding provider, and the destination mailbox.

Please do not include private log files, vehicle identifiers, access tokens, or other sensitive information unless it is necessary and you understand the email risks.

6. Children

This technical utility is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly ask children to submit personal information.

7. Changes

We may update this policy as the product or providers change. The effective date above will be updated for material revisions.

8. Contact

Privacy questions may be sent to hello@csvdatalogviewer.com. Product and bug reports may be sent to support@csvdatalogviewer.com.
